Following the success of the previous ‘picnic’ we’ll be doing it again – on Sunday 13th September in Finsbury Circus, EC2. The weather forecast is good and this might be the last chance to meet as a group for a while due to the latest Government guidelines on numbers able to meet, look out for us near to the bandstand where there are plenty of benches for socially-distanced seating from 14:30. The nearest public transport is either Liverpool Street mainline, Moorgate Underground or the choice of several bus routes along Moorgate. There is also plenty of Bike parking. Bring along something to eat and something to drink from – some liquid refreshment will be available.
Hopefully there will be another dose of entertainment from the local Shakespeare group who were rehearsing The Tempest the last time we were there!
Get Zoom on your ‘device’, then: enter Meeting ID 8820169 6440, the Password is leather. You can then see the participants. To take part in the quiz (PLEASE support LLM!) go to https://socrative.com, click login then click student login and finally enter the room number M1824. See you there?
Due to the current health crisis and as a precaution against its spread we have agreed JULY 4TH as the new date for the AGM and Annual Dinner. It is booked with the Punch Tavern and will be the same time, menu and price. The Agenda and minutes of the 2019 meeting can still be accessed in the posting below.
We hope that the situation will have calmed by then and the summer temperatures will have lessened the impact. If we need to postpone again we will move to October 17th (our Birthday weekend). In any case please keep October 17th free in your diaries as we will plan a meal and other meetings then anyway. Many of you have written today with your understanding and support. With the current Treasurer continuing to act any bookings can be assured that the money paid for the meal is safe. If you definitely cannot make July 4th (one week after London Pride if it goes ahead) then we will issue a refund.
