As Martin and Duncan have sold Central Station with the new people taking over on 1st January 2020, this will be our last Curry Night there. Martin intends to make is very special so do try to come along. So we have numbers to give Martin, all we ask is you let us know by a week in advance if you are coming. we will collect the cost on the evening (approximately £7 or £8).
FRIDAY 18th OCTOBER and SATURDAY 19th OCTOBER – The club’s 46th birthday event.
This year we are keeping it simple. There are just two events:
Friday at 20:30 there is an informal meeting at The City of Quebec, 12 Old Quebec St, Marble Arch, London, United Kingdom, W1H 7AF
Saturday at 19:00 for 19:30 for dinner at The Punch Tavern, 99 Fleet Street, London EC4Y 1DE
The cost is £30 per person. Contact us directly for further details of menu, etc. Those with the energy are proposing to go to Backstreet after the meal.
Sunday 22nd September 14:00. Informal get-together for lunch and a pint in the Shakespeare’s Head (a Weatherspoons pub), Africa House, 64-68 Kingsway, London, WC2B 6BG.
Lunch will be subsidised at £8 for members and there’s a choice of lamb shank, steaks and Sunday all-day breakfast and will include a drink from the specified club range. All other drinks will have to be paid for separately. Leave the cooking at home enjoy a meal out with friends. Let us know if you intend to be there.
The eagerly awaited for (and previously postponed) boat trip to Richmond is on – again weather permitting! Meet up at Westminster Pier (SW1A 2JH) at 10:30 on Saturday 31st August and buy a single ticket to Richmond where we plan to have a leisurely lunch, the return journey is up to individuals and could be by train, Underground, bus or even boat. Discounts for the boat are available on production of a valid Travelcard and, for those lucky enough to have one, the cherished Freedom Pass.
The August Club night meeting will be at the City of Quebec Pub on Friday 16th August, 21:00.
This will be our first meeting here and it may be our future venue if it proves popular – so come along and let us know!
